February 9, 2000 (The best night of my life!)

I went to the game at the Fleetcenter against the Pacers. With the help of a lot of special people from the DANA FARBER CANCER INSTITUTE and the Jimmy Fund Clinic I was able to meet Mark Jackson. This has been a dream of mine for many years and it finally came true. I was able to get into the game early to watch the shootaround, and I even got to talk with Mark before the game. He signed my picture and my shirt, and even posed for a few snapshots. As if that wasn't enough, during the game he would motion over to me in the stands as if I were one of his friends sitting there. Mark even sent out some passes to me and my family so we could see him after the game. When the game ended, he came out and gave me a pair of his sneakers which he signed. He told me to stay strong and that I was in his prayers. This is the classiest guy to ever step on a basketball court.

THANKS MARK!

Mark, I just wanted to say thank you for making February 9, 2000 the best day of my life. I never thought I would get to meet you in person. At first I was scared, but after talking to you for a few minutes, that feeling went away. You'll never know how much this meant to me, to meet you and talk with you. I want you to know how great it felt when you saw me in the stands at halftime and you and Reggie waved to me. I felt like a million bucks because you guys noticed me in the stands. The best way I know to thank you is to keep this page going strong and let all your fans know that you are as great off the court as you are on. Thank you again and God Bless.
